Red Velvet Cake

Katanya ini kue kesukaan Oprah, penasaran... Pas kebeneran Ci Mei pengen dibuatin. Berburu resep dulu di internet, banyak banget macemnya. Comot satu aja yang pake buah bit..
They said this is Oprah's fave cake, curious...Since my 2nd sis want this cake,so I plan to bake it. Hunting for recipe from the internet. Hmmmmm....there are so many recipes, well just pick one using beet root.

Rainbow oh Rainbow

Demam rainbow melanda Indonesia tahun 2012 ini. Mulai dari kue, cookies, baju, tas semuaaanya warna warni. Jadi penasaran pengen nyoba bikin rainbow cake.
Rainbow fever attacking Indonesia this year lol. Start from cake, cookie, clothes, bags...everything sooo colorful. My curiosity win, I decided to try make a rainbow cake.

1st try

Coba-coba pake resep yang ada aja, ternyata warnanya nga sesuai sama pelangi hahahaha. terus kuenya terlalu tinggi. Rasanya sich enak.
Experimenting with the available recipe...the color not rainbow colors even tho pretty colorful and the cake too tall. Oh well, the taste still perfect..no complain there :D

Baru kemaren ini nemu resep asli rainbow cake, masih penasaran, coba lagi..

Warnanya lumayan, walau warna biru tetep nga keluar. Ukuran udah lebih sesuai, tapi rasanya lebih enak yang pertama hehehe...
The colors close enough, still no blue color tho. Size more acceptable, but the taste not as good as my 1st try...

Snack yang gurih dan nikmat. Disajikan dengan teh atau kopi panas..sedaaap ^_^

Perfect snack to company a cup of hot tea or hot coffee...perfect!!!

Cocok buat acara arisan, kumpul keluarga, teman dll

Kimmidoll Cake

Baru inget Sofi ultah 2 hari sebelumnya, untung masih inget wkwkwwk...Sofi koleksi boneka robot sama kimmidoll. Karena bikin model robot susah jadinya bikin kimmidoll aja yang lebih gampang. Browsing di internet nyari contoh kimmidoll, nemu yang cocok namanya 'Sachi' artinya Joy = kebahagian. Sachi pake banyak bunga di kimononya dan warna kimononya pink, cocok banget buat Sofi.

Sachi doll cake

Only had 2 days to prepare a birthday cake for Sofi cause I just remember it 2 days before lol. Sofi has lots of figurines, robots and kimmidolls. Making robot figurine from fondant will be difficult so I prefer to make kimmidoll. Browsing the website and found a perfect one 'Sachi' means Joy. The doll wearing a pink flowery kimono which is perfect for Sofi.

Brownies Cookies

Kue kering paling simple yang pernah dibuat tapi rasanya mantabs  ^_^. Tinggal tuang semua adonan ke loyang kue kering, masuk oven, langsung dipotong2.

The simplest cookies I've ever made and the taste is out of this world ^_^. Just pour the batter into baking pan, put in the oven, cut to pieces while still hot.. ready to serve..

Flower Pot

Dec 2011 lalu Tacie ultah. Karena yang ultah suka bunga, jadi bikin kue ultahnya model pot bunga. Rencana sich mau bikin bunga anggrek, tapi apa daya buat bunga anggrek ternyata sulit.
Jadi mendadak belajar buat roses...duuuh bikin satu aja lamaaaaa banget. Setelah nyontek banyak buku membuat bunga dan dari website, jadilah kue pot bunga mawar. Kuenya dipilih kue coklat kuno kesukaan Tacie.
Menghias kue ini buru-buru banget soalnya hari Tacie ultah jadi hari pertama pembukaan toko baju batik. Udah nga keburu bikin nama ato tulisan happy birthday dari fondant. Tulisan happy birthdaynya pake yang siap pakai aja dan tanpa nama. Tukang kue nya sekarang jadi tukang jualan baju batik...^_^

Last Dec 2011 is my 1st sis's birthday. I choose to make flower pot cake cause my sis love flowers specially orchid. I plan to make a pot full of orchid, but my skill not meet to make orchid yet. So I browse many books and website about making flowers and settle with roses instead.
For the cake I choose old fashion choc cake which is my sister's favorite.
I decorated this cake with so much haste since the birthday coincidence with the opening of my batik clothes shop. I have no time to make words from fondant anymore, so hv to use the ready to use "Happy Birthday" and the cake hv no name...oh well we can't have it all. Anyway my sister loved the cake ^_^ that's the important thing. And the baker now become shop keeper  :D

Tazmanian Devil Cake

Tantangan paling baru, carving cake Tazmanian Devil buat ulang tahun Reynaldi. Banyak banget detil-detil yang harus dibuat, ditambah. Hasilnya lumayan buat pertama kali buat :-D

Newest challenge, making Tazmanian Devil carving cake for Reynaldi's birthday. So many details have to be made, to add...And the result..not bad for a first timer :-D
